WHAT IS PARKOUR?

Parkour is a physical and artistic discipline based around human movement, used to climb, jump, balance, run over/under/through obstacles (appropriate to each obstacle - not running through walls anytime soon!)

HOW OLD DO YOU NEED TO BE TO DO PARKOUR?

Parkour is for all ages, but our classes start from the ages of 8 years+. There may be some classes with a restriction of age (e.g. 8-11, 12-17, 18+), to make the needs of different ages easier for the coach to manage!

"I DON'T WANT TO BREAK ANY BONES"

Yes there is a potential for injury, but with the safe progression & guidance offered by our fully insured coaches, parkour becomes no more dangerous than any other sport!

WHERE CAN YOU DO PARKOUR?

Parkour is primarily an outdoor activity, allowing the practitioners (Traceurs/Traceuss) to hone in on the potential training with the environment around them - e.g. play parks, university grounds, public access spaces that use walls and railings, etc.

DO WE GET TO JUMP ON BUILDINGS?

No. Our coaches have been training for over 6 years and have never taught a class where roofs were involved. If you would like to be challenged then there are many ways to do so that don't involve roof/building jumps.

"DAE A BACKFLIP"

Naw. If you want to learn how, there are occasions in our indoor classes that we can offer some acrobatics training as a nice addition to our classes, but flips aren't a primary focus of parkour classes.

WHERE CAN YOU DO CLASSES?

Our classes vary between Argyll & Bute to Glasgow, all the way down to South Ayrshire - If there is demand for it! If there is proven local interest, we can certainly look into running a class in your area!

HOW STRONG DO I NEED TO BE TO DO PARKOUR?

If you can walk, run, and jump, then the rest comes with practice and time. You may have to build strength depending on what the class plan is, but generally there will be a good amount of training to help you build that strength through the class.
